The aftercare of your new tattoo is extremely important! Your tattoo was performed in a clean, sterile, and professional manor and should be healed responsibly.
DO NOT TOUCH OR LET OTHERS TOUCH YOUR TATTOO WITHOUT FIRST WASHING HANDS THOROUGHLY.
KEEP YOUR TATTOO CLEAN.
DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR TATTOO TO HOSTILE ENVIRONMENTS OR CHEMICALS (i.e. chlorine, lake water, salt water, grease, dirt, ect.)
LEAVE BANDAGE ON 4-8 HOURS
WASH TATTOO WITH ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP AND WATER, MAKE SURE TO WASH AWAY ALL GREASY RESIDUE.
BLOT DRY, DO NOT RUB WITH TOWEL.
DO NOT COMPRESS WITH TIGHT CLOTHING OR BELTS.
WITH CLEAN HANDS APPLY A TINY AMOUNT OF AQUAPHOR or A&D OINTMENT 3-5 TIMES A DAY.
BLOT OFF ANY EXCESS OINTMENT OR LOTION.
DO NOT SOAK SWIM OR SAUNA FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS.
DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR TATTOO TO SUN OR TAN FOR 30 DAYS.
DO NOT PICK OR OTHERWISE TRAUMATIZE YOUR TATTOO.
HEALING TIME WILL VERY DEPENDING ON THE CARE YOU GIVE YOUR TATTOO.
AVERAGE HEALING TIME 5 - 15 DAYS
AVOID ADVICE FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!

DISSOLVE 1 PINCH (less then 1/4 teaspoon) OF SEASALT IN AN 8oz GLASS OF HOT WATER.
SOAK PIERCING IN SEASALT SOLUTION FOR 5 - 10 MINUTES TWICE PER DAY.
WITH THE SEASALT SOLUTION ON JEWELRY ROTATE IN AND OUT OF PIERCING SEVERAL TIMES.
RINSE UNDER RUNNING WATER WHILE ROTATING JEWELRY IN AND OUT SEVERAL TIMES.
DO NOT COMPRESS PIERCING WITH TIGHT CLOTHES OR BELTS.

AVOID ALL HOT OR SPICY FOOD FOR THE FIRST 3-5 DAYS.
IT IS NORMAL FOR THE TONGUE TO SWELL FOR 3-5 DAYS, SUCKING ON ICE OR OTHER FROZEN BEVERAGES WILL GREATLY REDUCE SWELLING.
DO NOT DRINK YEAST CONTAINING BEVERAGES FOR THE FIRST 2 WEEKS.
FOR ORAL PIERCINGS WITH AN EXTERNAL OPENING ADD THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES...

Dermal Piercing After Care
Leave the bandage on the dermal anchor for the first 24 hours. The pressure of the bandage helps hold the jewelry in place, allowing tissue to begin growing through the holes of the base.
Wash your hands with hot water and antimicrobial soap before cleaning your microdermal piercing. Never touch your microdermal jewelry unless you are cleaning it.
Add a pinch of non-iodized sea salt, no more than 1/8 tsp., to 1 cup of very hot bottled water. Stir the saline solution with a clean spoon. Saturate a sterile gauze pad with the solution and press it firmly against your jewelry for 10 minutes, once a day to loosen any dried blood and plasma.
Lather a pea-sized amount of antimicrobial soap in the palm of your hand with warm water. Gently massage the lather around the jewelry and allow it to remain on your skin for one minute. Splash your skin with warm water to rinse off the soap. Dry your skin with an unused paper towel. Repeat this process twice daily.
Cover your jewelry with a fresh waterproof bandage before going to bed at night. Choose a bandage that forms a tight seal all the way around the piercing. Leave the bandage on when you shower in the morning to prevent shampoo or regular soap from getting into the piercing. Remove the bandage and clean your piercing separately after you shower.
